STRM Newsletter 13 December – Laodicea

Brethren, Shalom! I pray that you have had a blessed week. Please remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The latest round of political infighting seriously weakens Israel at a time when she is most threatened by the Islamic states surrounding her. At the same time Israel is receiving the lowest level of support from the American administration in living memory. A house divided cannot stand. Just as it is prophesied that America must fall before the end comes, so also Israel must be so weakened that they compromise with the Beast power to allow him to enter the set apart city and set up his own form of worship on the Temple mount. Again the news events parallel the attitude we find in the final letter to the seven assemblies of Asia minor. The 7th assembly, Laodicea was criticized for having works which were lukewarm. Y’HoWShUA admonished them and told them to be zealous and repent. If the people held fast to the covenant with YHWH they would be invited to sit on the throne alongside Y’HoWShUA. But mainstream Christianity, Judaism and many Sabbaterian assemblies are indifferent to the Word of YHWH, to the point that ecumenism, a one world, all embracing false religion is gaining momentum across the globe. Brethren, we are commanded to hold fast to the truth, to not deny His Name and to be zealous and ready for His return. If we are not, He will vomit us out of His presence and we shall not be able to enter in to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Instead we will be... read more

Daily Scripture John 15:5

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5 KJV) The symbolism here is of a perfect symbiotic relationship. Y’HoWShUA is the vine which provides all the support and nutrients the branches need. The branches part in this is to bring forth fruit which is the ultimate fulfillment of the vine’s purpose. How do we apply this teaching? We can do nothing without Y’HoWShUA. We must abide in Him, be totally connected to Him and turn to Him for all of our needs. In return He will provide everything we need to thrive. Then we must bear fruit, to preach the Word and bring many to righteousness through the example of our daily lives, lived in perfect harmony with Y’HoWShUA.... read more

Daily Scripture John 14:6

Y’HoWShUA saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me”. (Jn 14:6 KJV) This is a simple, clear explicit statement by Y’HoWShUA – no one comes to the Father but by Me. So how does the ecumenical movement justify the claim that there are many paths to god? Islam denies the divinity of Y’HowShUA as does Buddhism, who accept Him as an ascended Master. Hinduism accepts a pantheon of gods. Only Christianity accepts Y’HoWShUA as the “only begotten Son of The Mighty One”. Within this group it is an extremely small minority that do what He tells us to  do so that we may receive the gift of eternal life, “If you want to enter into life, keep My Commandments”. Are you?... read more

STRM Newsletter (6 Dec 14) – Philadelphia

Brethren Shalom! This weeks message discussed the assembly at Philadelphia, the sixth of the seven assemblies of Asia minor. Last week, in the letter to Sardis, we saw the standard form of the letter – identification, works, criticism and offer was broken because they had no works to commend them. In this letter to Philadelphia the standard form is also broken as there is no criticism of this assembly. Smyrna and Philadelphia are the only two of the seven assemblies which are not criticized. Smyrna, the persecuted assembly only had to hold fast to their faith and Philadelphia, the faithful assembly, was required to do a small work. We need to understand that size of the building, the extent of the mailing list, the amount of broadcast air time and the ranking of the website are irrelevant to YHWH. He is judging us by the quality of the hearts He finds in our assemblies. The speaker to the assembly at Philadelphia was identified as having the Key of David. There is not much in the scriptures about this other than the obvious connection to rulership over Jerusalem. But at a deeper level the key that allowed David to come before the Ark of the Covenant, which it was not lawful for him to do as he was not a Levitical Priest, was through his praise and worship of YHWH. David was a man after YHWH’s own heart and his desire was to be as close as possible as he could to YHWH. That same blessing was offered to the assembly at Philadelphia. Those that overcome, by holding fast to YHWH... read more
