I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5 KJV)
The symbolism here is of a perfect symbiotic relationship.
Y’HoWShUA is the vine which provides all the support and nutrients the branches need.
The branches part in this is to bring forth fruit which is the ultimate fulfillment of the vine’s purpose.
How do we apply this teaching?
We can do nothing without Y’HoWShUA. We must abide in Him, be totally connected to Him and turn to Him for all of our needs. In return He will provide everything we need to thrive.
Then we must bear fruit, to preach the Word and bring many to righteousness through the example of our daily lives, lived in perfect harmony with Y’HoWShUA.
