End time prophecy can be heavy going at times, especially when you come to the realization that before it’s all over, 90% of humanity will be dead. This realization can challenge the faith of even the most committed among us. However, at the end of Revelation we are given this message of hope “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his Mighty One, and he shall be my son.” (Rev 21:7)
This tells us that if we overcome we will become the son of YHWH and co-inheritor of creation alongside Y’HoWShUA!
But what do we have to overcome?
There is a hidden message in the letter to the seven churches in Asia Minor. Every letter finishes with these two admonitions – “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” and “To him that overcometh …”
Whenever the scripture states “He that hath an ear” it means we are to pay close attention and study the message deeply to understand what YHWH is revealing to us in that scripture. By placing this admonition in each of teh letters, YHWH is revealing to us a theme running through the narrative which we need to discern.
In every letter we are told what we need to overcome and what the blessing is when we do overcome.
When we join all these scriptures together we realize that we must overcome our carnal nature, false doctrine, the cares of the world and fear of the Antichrist. Our reward for doing so is eternal life, the first resurrection, co-rulership of creation alongside Y’HoWShUA and becoming “echad” total unity with YHWH.
This weeks message “Overcome!” reveals this hidden message and the admonition to overcome and never lose hope and the unwavering expectation that YHWH is watching over every one of us.
